Day 1 – ARRIVAL DARWIN
Arrive Darwin for 5 nights at the Novotel Atrium Hotel – Harbour View Room

Day 2 - DARWIN - Day at leisure
Historic Pearling Lugger Sunset Cruise depart 1645 arrival back 2000
Depart Cullen Bay Marina on the magnificently fully restored pearl lugger, Anniki. After passing through the Cullen Bay Lock, travel to the sheltered waters of the inner Darwin Harbour. Enjoy a glass of champagne and gourmet antipasto platters as well as tasting the exotic pearl meat, as you watch the spectacular Darwin sunset. Lots of history on board with photos and memorabilia on display

Day 3 - Full Day Katherine Gorge & Edith Falls including lunch
Travel south stopping in Adelaide River to inspect the War Cemetery. Continue to Edith Falls for a swim in the paperbark and pandanus fringed pool. Next stop is Katherine for a two hour cruise through the gorge with the chance to spot freshwater crocodiles and the many interesting species of birdlife. Lunch is included. Visit the Katherine Gorge Visitors Centre then take a short tour of the town before returning to Darwin, stopping for dinner enroute (own expense). (L)

Day 4 – DARWIN – Afternoon Jumping Crocodile Tour
Just 60km from Darwin lies the Adelaide River, the location of the famous jumping crocodiles. Cruise the river and thrill as these awesome creatures launch themselves out of the water. Your local guide will entice the crocodiles to leap out of the water and you'll be able to see these creatures at a close but safe range. After the cruise continue to the Window on the Wetlands Visitors Centre for views over the Marrakai Plains and then on to Fogg Dam Nature Reserve - a fantastic little wetland area with the opportunity to spot for wildlife before returning to Darwin.

Day 5 – 1 Day Kakadu National Park Tour including Lunch
Travel on the Arnhem Highway across the Adelaide River and Marrakai Plains. A wide selection of native wildlife has made this region their home. Stop at Nourlangie Rock, where your guide will lead a walk to view ancient Aboriginal rock art. After lunch cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong, search for saltwater crocodiles and the colourful range of bird life this region is renowned for. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and view the informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu, before returning to Darwin. (L)
