HEALTH CONDITIONS
This policy contains health conditions and you must advise us of any medical facts, your own or relating to any travelling companion, close relative or business associate for which you would expect to be covered under this policy. The exclusions are shown in the insurance policy, a copy of which will be provided.
All pre-existing material facts must be disclosed to the Underwriting Agents prior to taking out cover under this policy. Failure to do so may affect your rights under the insurance. If you are in doubt as to whether a fact is 'material' then for your own protection it should be disclosed to the Underwriting Agents by telephoning Citybond Suretravel Helpline on 0870 444 6431 quoting TPU/TS/220201 (Mon to Sat.9.00am to 5.30pm) when advice will be given on whether any special terms will be required.
MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
We offer a special "money back guarantee". If you are not happy with the policy we recommend you may return it to us within 14 days of receipt, with a written request to cancel the insurance, provided there has been no claim or travel undertaken, and we will refund your premium in full. Apart from the above no premiums will be refunded for any other reason.
JEWELLERY AND OTHER HIGH VALUE ITEMS
We draw your attention to the limit for single items and the overall limit for valuables (which include jewellery). Any personal effects that fall under this category and are NOT sufficiently covered by this insurance are more properly insured under your household all risk extension. We suggest you contact the insurer for your home insurance to check the cover afforded.
IMPORTANT
Your travel insurer, under the General Insurance Standards Council Code of Practice, has to bring to your attention some of the important features of your travel insurance policy:
POLICY DOCUMENT
A copy of the policy will be sent with your insurance application form. This document contains full details of what is and is not covered and the conditions of the cover. You should read the policy very carefully.
CONDITIONS, EXCLUSIONS AND WARRANTIES
There are conditions and exclusions which apply to individual sections and general exclusions, conditions and warranties which apply to the whole policy.
HEALTH
The policy contains conditions about the health of the people travelling and other people upon whose health the trip may depend
PROPERTY CLAIMS
These claims are settled on an indemnity basis (the value of the goods at the time you lose them), not on a "new for old" or replacement cost basis.
POLICY LIMITS
Most sections of the policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section. Some sections also include other limits, for example, for any one item or for valuables in total.
REASONABLE CARE
You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property as you would if you were not insured.
COMPLAINTS
The insurance policy includes a complaints procedure which tells you what steps you can take if you wish to make a complaint.
Please make sure you read policy carefully.
English law allows parties to choose the law applicable to the contract. The contract will be subject to English Law unless otherwise agreed. |
